This November, my husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary by spending a glorious weekend at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. While there, we inevitably ended up hanging out at the bar at Edison’s where I ordered the Classic Champagne Cocktail. It was bubbly champagne bliss and I simply had to recreate the drink on New Years!
The Classic Champagne Cocktail
What You’ll Need
Champagne (Here’s a list of champagne brands that are vegan!)
Angostura bitters (Found at your local grocery store)
Directions to Make 1 Cocktail
Add about 5 drops of bitters to a sugar cube and allow to soak in. Place the sugar cube at the bottom of your champagne flute and add 1/2 ounce of cognac (most recipes call for a full ounce, but I think that makes it too strong tasting). Then, fill the rest of the glass with champagne and toast to happiness.
